Whether you want to simply add disk to your backup strategy, increase the speed of backup and recovery, implement long-distance, cost-effective disaster recovery solutions, or reduce your reliance on tape in the backup process, the Overland Storage® REO 9100 is the right solution. Protection PAC software, included in the REO 9000, allows a user to configure the REO 9100 into any combination of virtual tape devices and disk LUNs. The ability to dynamically size virtual tape drives to the size of individual backup jobs further increases storage efficiency by eliminating the wasted space incurred when emulating fixed length tape cartridges. By storing tape images that are tailored to the size of the backup job, Overland allows users to access a significantly larger percentage of the available storage capacity. |
