Our DSS 2URS rackmount enclosure allows our customers to consolidate up to 6 half-height tape drives or 3 full-height tape drives into a 2U high rackspace. As space becomes an increasingly critical issue in the data center, DSS, Inc's 2URS provides the perfect solution for rackmounted tape backup. Our DSS 2URS LTO rackmount tape drive solution can significantly reduce the backup time for multiple server environments by enabling the tape drives to run in parallel. Alternatively, the tape drives can be attached to a single server for increased backup performance. These 2URS rackmount enclosures are designed for ultimate reliability, ease of use and deployment in the most demanding data centers. |
We custom integrate LTO-3, LTO-4 and now, DSS, Inc. is the first to market with the new LTO-5 tape backup drives. Our DSS 2URS is a metal fabricated, ISO 9001 certified rackmount enclosure with a 3 year parts and labor warranty. The DSS 2URS incorporates a large 200 watt power supply. This large power supply provides more than enough power to the high performing, full height and half height LTO tape backup drives. Two ball bearing fans keep the LTO tape backup drives extremely cool and that benefit provides for a more duarable, longer lasting tape backup solution. DSS, Inc.'s 2U high rackmount can connect either to LVD SCSI or Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) host interfaces. Data Storage Systems, Inc.'s Integration Center custom builds the 2URS rackmount tape drive solutions to order.
